Restoration

Examples of Restoration Work

Restoration work at Haworth Restorations focuses on careful repair and conservation, with the aim of retaining as much original fabric as possible. While we do undertake larger renovation projects, our preference is always to restore rather than replace wherever feasible, helping buildings remain true to their original character.

Our work includes patch repairs and in situ cornice repairs, allowing historic features to be preserved. We also carry out remedial work to architraves and other traditional details, ensuring repairs are sympathetic to the existing structure.

Timber repairs and dry rot wood replacement are undertaken thoughtfully, addressing both the cause of decay and the affected material. Repointing and masonry repairs are completed using appropriate lime mortars, supporting the building’s ability to breathe and manage moisture correctly.

In addition to repair work, we offer heritage DOFF cleaning for the gentle and effective cleaning of historic stonework and masonry, helping to remove soiling without damaging the surface.

Every project, whether a small repair or a larger renovation, is approached with care, attention to detail, and respect for the integrity of the building.
